Mojo & Twilight
Well...I think I finally got my "Mojo" back. There are so many new techniques that I want to try, but my mind is working faster than my hands. Plus there is just a limited amount of time. I've been doing some computer work for Don aka "The Crazy Cajun", and I'm also busy reading. So here are my latest pages.
My daughters-in-law, plus everyone else I know, convinced me to read the "Twilight" series. I was avoiding that book like the flu. I thought is was just a silly teen-age love story with vampires in it. And I didn't want to waste my time when there are so many other books that I want to read.
But, my one daughter -in-law lent me her copy and I told her I would try it. Well....now I'm hooked, I'm on the second book and already bought book 3 & 4. Are any of you ladies reading this series? I'd be interested to know.

Too many choices
Maybe it's because I'm from a different generation, but I get very annoyed when I go grocery shopping. We have just too many choices today. I counted the Tide laundry detergent. There are 23 varieties of Tide. With bleach, without bleach, with Downey, without Downey, with Fabreze, without Fabreze, rain scented, floral scented unscented....I could go on and on. It's the same thing in the soda isle, cereal isle, coffee isle. And don't even get me started on the milk and dairy items. Do we really need all these choices???
Well now that I've "vented", I have to admit that I am also guilty of too many choices. I have way too many stickers, 100's of rubber stamps, reams of decorative papers, tons of embellishments and focal subjects. But I only use a fraction of them because most of them are out of sight or just not handy. I couldn't beleive the things I found when I took time to go through my studio today.
So this is a quick page that I did using the black gesso and the stencil that I found on my hunt today.

Facebook crazy
Hi All....as you can tell by the sidebar, I'm a Facebook junkie. I love Facebook. I've reconnected with so many friends that I've lost touch, with through Facebook. It also lets me stay in touch with my family, since most of them are also on F.B. I can send them messages, chat live with them and even play games with them.
Now...I'm not big on playing video games, I would much rather spend my time reading. But there's this silly little game on F.B. called Farmville, and I am totally hooked. That's right....me...a girl from the big city who doesn't even go out to check the mail without make-up and jewelry on, I am now a farmer. I LOVE THAT GAME!
But that does not stop me from making art everyday. These are my latest pages.
Have a great week-end.

HOT...HOT...HOT
Summer has finally arrived in New England. The temperature has been in the high 90's with high humidity for the past 5 days. But I'm not complaining, because I know whats coming in the next couple of months. Lots of cold and lots of snow. So I'll take the heat any time.
Unfortunately my studio is on the second floor with lots of windows. Which is great for lighting, but way too hot this time of year. But I did manage to get in a couple of pages. I've been spending most of my days with a glass of wine and a good book.
Enjoy your day!

I'm Back
Hi Guys.....It's been a while since my last post. I've been spending time visiting my family in N.J.
Spent some time with my sister in Cape May. Lots of eating, lots of drinking and lots of shopping.
Then I went to visit my parents, children and grand-children in North Jersey. Even went to a Luau for my grand-daughter Angelina's birthday. It was just so great seeing everyone again. But it's also nice getting back home.
However, I'm in a bit of a "funk" lately as far as my creativity. I have the ambition but not the inspiration. My muses must still be on vacation.
Anyway...here are a few journal pages. Hope you all are having a great summer.
