A quick post

About five months ago we had to put my mom in a nursing home. Around that time I lost all my desire to do art, so I haven;t been on here too much. I just wanted to let you ladies know that my mom passed away last night. We knew this was coming, but it's still very hard.
Please keep posting all your great art work.... maybe I'll get inspired again.

Kitchen Disaster

Okay....has anyone ever drop a can of Pam on the floor? Trust me, its not pretty. I drop a can on the kitchen floor this morning and the nozzle locked into the spray mode, so in a few seconds my floor was covered with slippery, butter flavored Pam. So I pick it up and tried to fix the nozzle, not good, it broke off....now I'm covered with buttery flavored Pam.

My kitchen floor is ceramic tile and is now like an ice skating rink. I finally threw the can into the sink where it is still "hissing" away like a buttery flavored snake. HAPPY MONDAY!!!!

What does this picture have to do with Thanksgiving? Nothing at all. I just figured you were all tired of looking at turkeys and cornucopias.

Full Blood Moon

On October 22, we'll see the full moon that folks call the Blood Moon, although some Native Americans called it the Falling Leaf Moon. Color correspondences this month are all about darkness -- black, deep purples, and dark blue. The theme carries over into gemstones, with obsidian and amethyst being strongly connected to the Blood Moon. Deities to honor in October include the wilder aspects of the gods -- Herne and Cernunnos, Mercury, and Apollo. Take some time this month to connect with the moon, and feel its energy in your spirit.

Remodeling and New baby

I know that I haven't been around in a while. We are having some remodeling done. New windows being put in, carpet being pulled up and hardwood floors being put done. Some rewiring being done in the home theater and then some painting of walls. Hopefully it will all be done before the holidays.

Last week Don's daughter had her second son. 8lb 14 oz. Now we have six grand-daughters and two grand-sons.

Still have no desire to do anything creative. But I did start a book club with five other book lovers. I'm really looking forward to that. Till next time,

Hugs to all!

Where did My Passion Go????

I'm so upset with my muses, they left me. This is my favorite time of year. The weather is cool and crisp, the trees are dressed in beautiful colors and it's almost Halloween. For the past six months I've had tons of ideas for Halloween mini albums and Halloween cards. I went shopping and bought all my supplies and now.....I have no desire to make anything. THIS SUCKS!
I go into my studio and try, but it's just not happening.

I did however dig out my Tarot cards, I've been reading Tarot cards off and on for several years and decided to start reading again. I also opened a Tarot blog. For those of you who are not familiar with Tarot, IT IS NOT DEMONIC and does not predict the future. The Tarot gives advise. You can take this advise or not take it.

That being said, I am offering a free reading to any of my blog friends who want one. Just email me or leave a comment.

Hopefully my muses will return soon, till then I'll just be enjoying all the great work that my blog buddies do.

Keep crafting!!!

Paper Dolls

A few months ago I joined a journal'"round robin". There are seven of us and we all do a page in each others journal. This is the spread I did in Monica's journal, her theme was "childhood favorites". I was always playing with paper dolls, so I did my spread on that.

Black Hat Socierty

I just wanted to share the little witches hat that I made. the photo is a little washed out, cause the brim of the hat is lime green. This one is about 10 inches high. Now I'm trying to make a bigger one to use as a centerpiece for my dining room table.

I Love Halloween

Hi Guys....It's been awhile since I posted anything. I've been in a major dry spell. My head is just full of ideas, but when it comes to actually doing them, I just don't have the energy. I've also been on a diet, so my moods are a little off. Anyway, I'm not ready to give up Summer yet, but I love Autumn and Halloween is my favorite holiday. I created my first accordion book.... this side is whimsical Halloween and the other side (once I get it finished) will be spooky Halloween.
Sorry that the color is a little washed out, but you get the idea.
