The Bed from Hell.

Don saw this big, four poster bed and he really had to have it. So we bought it. But in the process of putting it together, I smashed my finger (twice)....put a big gash in one of my shins and have a lump the size of a plum on the other shin....and Don smashed his toe.
We finally got the bed together, after a lot of swearing and cussing (in several languages) and when we got into bed that night...it collapsed! We ended up laughing ourselves to sleep.

For a friend

A good friend of mine, who now lives in Nevada, has a sweet, nine year old grand-daughter who has Autism. She loves to receive mail so I made her this card for her and I plan to put some of those fancy shaped rubber bracelets inside the card.
Have you ladies seen these bracelets yet? I think they're adorable. They come in every shape imaginable and the kids love to trade them. They look like regular bracelets on your wrist, but when you take them off, they go right back to their original shape. Darn it!....I wanna be a kid again.

Journal pages

Hi all, it's been way too hot here to work in my studio, so I went back to working in my trusty art journal. I've been away from it way too long. It's like coming back to a good friend. So here are a couple of pages I did recently. Hope you like them.

J.J. for July.

Hi Guys....Hope everyone had a good week-end. Don and I had a nice relaxing week-end, Saturday night we had a nice dinner of fillet Mignon, corn- on- the cob and some wine. Then we watched "Clash of the Titans." The movie was a lot better then I anticipated.

Sunday we barbecued some ribs, had some beer then watched "The A-Team", also a pretty good movie.

I did manage to make another J.J. card for my sister, the inside says..."yes, just not as good as I use to." I'm also working on some more gifts when ever I can, it's just been so very hot and humid here and there doesn't seem to be any relief in site. Oh well, it's better then snow and ice.

Okay, I'm off to the post office to mail some packages then stopping for a Caramel Frappe at Mc Donald's, have you tried those yet? DELICIOUS!

I hope you all have a great week......Hugs!

Sorry...

Sorry I haven't posted much art work lately. We were away for a few days and since we've came back the temperatures have been hovering between 95 and 100 degrees and very humid. My studio is up stairs and even with the AC on, that room tends to be very warm. So I've just been getting in a lot of reading time, which I'm enjoying.

If any of you are looking for some good mystery books try reading some by Harlen Coben. He has some really good books. Right now I'm reading his book "Caught". He';s a great writer, if you like mysteries. I may be a little partial, because most of his books take place in the area of NJ where I grew up. LOL.

Too many choices

We just went out for ice cream and I asked for a vanilla cone, the server said, "What kind?' I said "Vanilla" she said,"We have vanilla, creamy vanilla, classic vanilla, golden vanilla, original vanilla, vanilla bean, french vanilla and New England vanilla." So I said " I'll have maple walnut." Come on...do we really need 8 varieties of vanilla ice cream???

Drama Queen

Hi Everyone. I hope you all had a great week-end. This is my latest piece, the color is a little washed out, it's a lot deeper in person. I added one of my handmade tulle flowers and some black lace. With six grand-daughters, I'm sure one of them will earn this piece, as well as the title.

Chocolate Luau

The Chocolate Luau was great. They had a chocolate fountain with marshmallows, pineapple, sponge cake and rice krispie treats. There was also some really hot and spicy chocolate called Volcano bark. My favorites were the chocolate covered gummy bears. And best of all, everyone left with a gift bag filled with chocolate.

J.J. for June

Hi everyone,
I hope everyone is having a great week. It's really hot and humid in New England today, but I refuse to complain. Summer is way too short here, so I'll enjoy every bit of it.
So...here's my latest J.J. card. She will be on her way to my sister. I send my sister a card a month, she loves receiving cards and I love sending them.

Enjoy the rest of your week, see you soon.

A Work of Art

Has anyone watched the new show on Bravo called "Work of Art"? The person who's art I liked the best was the first person voted off. What does that say about me? LOL

Journal page swap

I was just recently in a Journal Page swap over on Your Paper Pantry and my partner likes Halloween so this was the page I did for her.
