HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

What does this picture have to do with Thanksgiving? Nothing at all. I just figured you were all tired of looking at turkeys and cornucopias.

Hope you all have a happy and healthy Turkey Day.

Full Blood Moon

On October 22, we'll see the full moon that folks call the Blood Moon, although some Native Americans called it the Falling Leaf Moon. Color correspondences this month are all about darkness -- black, deep purples, and dark blue. The theme carries over into gemstones, with obsidian and amethyst being strongly connected to the Blood Moon. Deities to honor in October include the wilder aspects of the gods -- Herne and Cernunnos, Mercury, and Apollo. Take some time this month to connect with the moon, and feel its energy in your spirit.

Remodeling and New baby

I know that I haven't been around in a while. We are having some remodeling done. New windows being put in, carpet being pulled up and hardwood floors being put done. Some rewiring being done in the home theater and then some painting of walls. Hopefully it will all be done before the holidays.

Last week Don's daughter had her second son. 8lb 14 oz. Now we have six grand-daughters and two grand-sons.

Still have no desire to do anything creative. But I did start a book club with five other book lovers. I'm really looking forward to that. Till next time,

Hugs to all!

Where did My Passion Go????

I'm so upset with my muses, they left me. This is my favorite time of year. The weather is cool and crisp, the trees are dressed in beautiful colors and it's almost Halloween. For the past six months I've had tons of ideas for Halloween mini albums and Halloween cards. I went shopping and bought all my supplies and now.....I have no desire to make anything. THIS SUCKS!
I go into my studio and try, but it's just not happening.

I did however dig out my Tarot cards, I've been reading Tarot cards off and on for several years and decided to start reading again. I also opened a Tarot blog. For those of you who are not familiar with Tarot, IT IS NOT DEMONIC and does not predict the future. The Tarot gives advise. You can take this advise or not take it.

That being said, I am offering a free reading to any of my blog friends who want one. Just email me or leave a comment.

Hopefully my muses will return soon, till then I'll just be enjoying all the great work that my blog buddies do.

Keep crafting!!!

We'll Miss You Pepper!

Today was an extremely sad day. We had to put our dog Pepper to sleep. She was part of the family for 13 years.

Paper Dolls

A few months ago I joined a journal'"round robin". There are seven of us and we all do a page in each others journal. This is the spread I did in Monica's journal, her theme was "childhood favorites". I was always playing with paper dolls, so I did my spread on that.

Black Hat Socierty

I just wanted to share the little witches hat that I made. the photo is a little washed out, cause the brim of the hat is lime green. This one is about 10 inches high. Now I'm trying to make a bigger one to use as a centerpiece for my dining room table.

I Love Halloween

Hi Guys....It's been awhile since I posted anything. I've been in a major dry spell. My head is just full of ideas, but when it comes to actually doing them, I just don't have the energy. I've also been on a diet, so my moods are a little off. Anyway, I'm not ready to give up Summer yet, but I love Autumn and Halloween is my favorite holiday. I created my first accordion book.... this side is whimsical Halloween and the other side (once I get it finished) will be spooky Halloween.
Sorry that the color is a little washed out, but you get the idea.

The Bed from Hell.

Don saw this big, four poster bed and he really had to have it. So we bought it. But in the process of putting it together, I smashed my finger (twice)....put a big gash in one of my shins and have a lump the size of a plum on the other shin....and Don smashed his toe.
We finally got the bed together, after a lot of swearing and cussing (in several languages) and when we got into bed that night...it collapsed! We ended up laughing ourselves to sleep.

For a friend

A good friend of mine, who now lives in Nevada, has a sweet, nine year old grand-daughter who has Autism. She loves to receive mail so I made her this card for her and I plan to put some of those fancy shaped rubber bracelets inside the card.
Have you ladies seen these bracelets yet? I think they're adorable. They come in every shape imaginable and the kids love to trade them. They look like regular bracelets on your wrist, but when you take them off, they go right back to their original shape. Darn it!....I wanna be a kid again.

Journal pages

Hi all, it's been way too hot here to work in my studio, so I went back to working in my trusty art journal. I've been away from it way too long. It's like coming back to a good friend. So here are a couple of pages I did recently. Hope you like them.

J.J. for July.

Hi Guys....Hope everyone had a good week-end. Don and I had a nice relaxing week-end, Saturday night we had a nice dinner of fillet Mignon, corn- on- the cob and some wine. Then we watched "Clash of the Titans." The movie was a lot better then I anticipated.

Sunday we barbecued some ribs, had some beer then watched "The A-Team", also a pretty good movie.

I did manage to make another J.J. card for my sister, the inside says..."yes, just not as good as I use to." I'm also working on some more gifts when ever I can, it's just been so very hot and humid here and there doesn't seem to be any relief in site. Oh well, it's better then snow and ice.

Okay, I'm off to the post office to mail some packages then stopping for a Caramel Frappe at Mc Donald's, have you tried those yet? DELICIOUS!

I hope you all have a great week......Hugs!

Sorry...

Sorry I haven't posted much art work lately. We were away for a few days and since we've came back the temperatures have been hovering between 95 and 100 degrees and very humid. My studio is up stairs and even with the AC on, that room tends to be very warm. So I've just been getting in a lot of reading time, which I'm enjoying.

If any of you are looking for some good mystery books try reading some by Harlen Coben. He has some really good books. Right now I'm reading his book "Caught". He';s a great writer, if you like mysteries. I may be a little partial, because most of his books take place in the area of NJ where I grew up. LOL.
