Pink Moon

Tonight is the full Pink Moon....this name came from the herb moss pink, or phlox which is one of the earliest widespread flowers of spring. Other names for this month's moon is, the Full Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, and among coastal tribes the Full Fish Moon, because this was the time that the shad swam upstream to spawn. It is also known as the Paschal moon.

We all know that every year Easter is on a different date. Well, Easter is determined by the full moon. Easter is always the first Sunday after the first full moon of spring. That's why Easter can fall at the end of March or the first part of April.

I didn't know much of this! Thanks for shedding some light on the Pink Moon!!

And thank you for your recent comments on my blog. Most days I do feel strong but every once in awhile that "invisible" stuff happens and brings me down a little.
